Jeffrey P. Capp

Jeffrey P. Capp Jeff Capp is Project Manager for Gartenberg Media Enterprises, where he is instrumentally involved in all aspects of the company business. He has worked extensively on vetting the libraries of film collections, and spearheaded the expansion of the company’s profile to incorporate DVD distribution of international classic films.

Originally a native of southern California, one of Jeff’s first jobs was working in the mailroom at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer before graduating to the studio’s in-house production department. He has also held positions with various distribution and exhibition companies gaining knowledge of all aspects of film and video distribution and exhibition. Jeff worked for Landmark Theatres as Film Shipping Manager; and then for Expanded Entertainment as Sales Manager and Assistant Director of Festival Programming in which capacity he was instrumental in launching the First International Animation Celebration at Los Angeles’ Wadsworth Theatre.

Jeff Capp moved to New York in 1986, working first for New Yorker Films as Print Controller. In that capacity he was responsible for maintaining and upgrading the quality of the company’s distribution film libraries as well as production of all new distribution elements including reduction negative & printing, and video transferring. He worked in a similar but much expanded capacity for Atlantic Releasing and then for Fox/Lorber Associates as Manager of Home Video Sales & Marketing.

Returning to Los Angeles, Jeff worked for several years as a Theatre Manager for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences’ Samuel Goldwyn Theatre, where he maintained the highest standards of film projection and exhibition.

Jeff Capp holds a B.A. in Cinema Studies from New York University.
