LORDS OF THE REVOLUTION: TIMOTHY LEARY (VH1 SERIES) LICENSES JONAS MEKAS AND MARIE MENKEN FOOTAGE

LORDS OF THE REVOLUTION, a round of five documentaries, profiling power nonconformists of the ’60s and ’70s including Timothy Leary, Andy Warhol, Muhammed Ali, The Black Panthers and others.

GME provided scenes from Jonas Mekas’ film WALDEN (1969) and Marie Menken’s ANDY WARHOL to VH1 for the 2009 production of LORDS OF THE REVOLUTION, episode 4: “Timothy Leary”.

Objective of the series was to showcase polarizing figures from the 60s/70s and show how they shaped the counterculture.
