GME Gem #4: In the Street

These moving scenes from Helen Levitt's legendary documentary,  IN THE STREET (1952), were made available to Ric Burns for his epic PBS series, NEW YORK: A DOCUMENTARY FILM (1999-2003) via Gartenberg Media's clip licensing expertise.  These short scenes of felicitous New York activities are a window on the soul of this great city and nation and the variety of people and lives that make it so.
