GME Shares Photographer Raimondo Borea's Grandson's Animation of His Photo Essay of Ballerina Anna Aragno

Raimondo Borea’s photographic essay entitled, “City is a Stage”, appeared in the August 1970 issue of Pageant Magazine. It contains a series of images of ballerina Anna Aragno shot on the streets of New York City. Photo essays appear at the beginning of Borea's involvement with photography and remained a format that he worked in continually during the course of his career.

In 2020, Borea’s grandson, Adam Brown, accessed images of the the City is a Stage photo essay from GME to create this animated tribute to his grandfather.
