Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s Short Films at Maysles Cinema through 10/28

Maysles Cinema is screening several programs of Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s short films through 10/28. These programs of shorts have been organized by the filmmaker himself, featuring work made between 1997 and 2020, spanning from two to sixty minutes, and often made on commission or in connection with longer work. In addition to several features, including the Palme d’Or–winning UNCLE BOONMEE WHO CAN RECALL HIS PAST LIVES (2010), Weerasethakul has produced dozens of short films and installation pieces. His current film MEMORIA, took the Jury Prize at Cannes 2021 and was recently featured at the New York Film Festival.


GME distributes Weerasethakul’s MYSTERIOUS OBJECT AT NOON (2000) on DVD and as a DSL license to North American educational markets.
